Background

Introduce users with the idea of shopping for presented  through Pinterest this upcoming holiday season with the introduction of a native shopping feature.

Challenge

The most stressful part of the gifting process is the hunt for the “perfect” gift.

There’s an expectation of knowing your friends/family so well that you can give them the perfect present each time.

Opportunity

Pinterest can use it’s algorithm to help you confidently find the perfect gift for your loved ones (and vice versa) this holiday season.

Utilizing the strengths of their algorithm, Pinterest could generate user-specific holiday wish lists to send out to consumers to both introduce users to the concept of purchasing goods directly through Pinterest, but also encourage native exploration of the app.
